Who is the Breast Care Nurse?
Today, it is a newly defined nursing branch that helps patients and their relatives in the evaluation of the patients diagnosed with the breast cancer from the moment of diagnosis to the treatment process and in their follow-up after the treatment. It provides psychological support to the breast cancer patient, helps the process of accepting the diagnosis, gives advice on choosing a prosthesis and bra after the breast surgery after the treatment. In some special cases, the breast care nurse guides patients and their relatives on the issues that the patient will not be able to explain to the physician.
